STALKING KNIVES FOR SALE -
STUART MITCHELL. "SKINNER".
What a handful of a knife this is ! This may be a custom order as I've never seen this model in this size before. Even if the knife is not custom, then the sheath certainly is. Superb leatherwork with a hand tooled front and the option to remove the swivel loop at the rear. The blade is RWL34 premium s/steel with a nicely figured handle of Desert ironwood. A '1st Class' package all the way. Blade: 4 inches (1-5/8 inches depth). Oal: 8-5/8 inches. The blade shows signs of being sharpened.
Very good condition. £375 inc. UK p&p.
ALAN WOOD. TROUT & BIRD.
A lovely example of one of my favourite designs by Alan. This time in Damasteel (stainless Damascus) and dark Masur Birch, which has been stabilised. The handle has been complimented by a combination of s/steel pins, brass mosaic pins and red liners. Blade: 3-1/4 inches. Oal: 7-3/4 inches. Complete with a Basketweave stamped sheath made by Alan.
New from Maker. £575 inc. UK p&p.
ALAN WOOD. "STRETCHED RUSTIC".
The Rustic model originated with both feet firmly planted in the Bushcraft camp, complete with a Scandi grind, so it is unusual to see Alan make this model with a hollow grind and a slightly longer handle. Not only that, but Alan has used premium RWL34 s/steel with a handle of Chital Antler (with red G10 liners) making for top quality, no nonsense straight handled working knife. Blade: 3-1/2 inches. Oal: 7-7/8 inches. Complete with original sheath. Brand new from Maker. £450 inc. UK p&p.
ALAN WOOD. "SPORTSMAN".
Please email for details.
Mint, unused condition. £395 inc. UK p&p.
STUART MITCHELL KNIVES. "P120".
A lovely knife from Stuart made with the stalker in mind, althought this could quite easily do 'double-duty' as a kitchen/general purpose knife. I believe this particular model is called the P120, although I stand to be corrected on this by those of you with more knowledge of Stuart's work. Blade: 120mm. Oal: 240mm. This knife has been lightly used by the previous owner and show a few very light scratches and sharpening marks. Complete with original kydex sheath.
Near mint condition. £225 inc. UK p&p.
SOLD ALAN WOOD. "SPORTSMAN 1"
Details added asap.
Excellent, unused condition.
SOLD ALAN WOOD. "WYVERN SET".
As well as the iconic Woodlore knife, Alan is also recognised for his sought after Stalking Sets, compromising of a longer bladed knife coupled with a gralloching knife in the same sheath. On this occasion the longer blade Wyvern is made from premium RWL34 steel and the gralloching Ripper is from AEB-L steel. The handles are black micarta with thin yellow liners and central yellow G-10 pin. Wyvern blade: 4-1/2 inches. Oal: 9 inches. Ripper: 3-1/4 inches. Oal: 7-1/2 inches. Complete with original leather sheath. New from Maker. £650 inc. UK p&p.
SOLD T.C.WELDON. UK. "FIELD To FORK".
Very nice work by Tom. Please email for details.
Mint, unused condition.
LAKOTA. USA. "TAHCA".
I've always liked Lakota knives for their unique design which enables them to solidly stand up while at the same time keeping the blade clear of the surface. Made in the 1980's by Moki of Japan, these are high quality knives for not a lot of money. I've always thought that this particular model was designed for the fisherman who went after trout, etc. although the blade does not flex and so may serve 'double duty' as a stalking knife ( bleeding/skinning). Blade: 4 inches. Oal: 8-1/2 inches. Complete with original sheath that shows a few storage marks.
Mint, unused condition. £145 inc. UK p&p.
SOLD SAKAI. JAPAN. "FOLDING DROP POINT HUNTER".
A stunning knife, probably dating from the 1980's(?) and Handmade by one of the craftsmen at Sakai. Whoever it was certainly knows how to make a knife, as the quality is on a par with some of the better Custom Makers - and better than most. Featuring a hand rubbed finish on the blade (there is a bright spot on one side of the choil) and lovely Sambar stag, with brass liners and n/silver bolsters. The 'fit & finish' is excellent and the mid-lock locks the knife like a bank vault. Blade: 3 inches. Closed: 4-1/2 inches. No box or sheath.
Mint, unused condition.
ON HOLD HUBERTUS. SOLINGEN. "ETCHED FIXED BLADE".
Discontinued model. More details added asap.
Mint, as new condition. £130 inc. UK p&p.
SOLD ALAN WOOD. "MINI HUNTER".
Another example of Alan's Classic knife, now reproduced by Casstrom as the 'Safari'. This is an older knife which has lived life as a 'Drawer Queen' and as such, the micarta handle shows a little 'ageing patina' on one side where it has been exposed to the light, and the original sheath shows light handling marks. This knife is made in 12c27 s/steel, with nickel silver fittings, and is just waiting for someone to take it out and use it. (why settle for a copy when you can have the original ! )
Mint, unused condition.
HOCHSTIEN. HUNGARY. "ENGRAVED DROP POINT".

Stunning quality- Snakewood handle. Mint, unused cond.
NEW PRICE: £300 inc. UK p&p.
HOCHSTEIN. HUNGARY. "ENGRAVED DROP POINT".
As a knife that was part of a collection I recently bought, I have to confess that I know very little about this maker - other than he certainly knows how to craft a knife ! Hafted in Wild Boar tusk and with stunning deep engraved scroll work on both sides of the blade, this knife is very European in flavour but epitomizes 'Pride of Ownership'. The s/steel guard is very well fitted and if this knife does not sell, I could well be tempted to keep it for my own use. Complete with original 'deep seated' brown leather pouch sheath. Blade:85mm Oal:185mm.
Excellent, unused condition. NEW PRICE: £300 inc. UK p&p.
R.O.EASLER. USA. (Deceased). "LOVELESS Style DROP POINT".
A very well respected and reknowned Maker, who was a member of the Knifemaker's Guild, so you know the standard of his work is going to be high. This particular model appears to be based of Bob's (Loveless) classic Dropped Hunter, although with a shorter blade and, as such, is more idealy suited to this 'side of the pond' where the species tend to be smaller. The steel is stainless with a s/steel guard and fittings, and a dark wood handle (which has a very small crack near the thong hole) on maroon liners. Blade: 3-1/2 inches. Oal: 8-1/2 inches.
This knife has been used - and that shows on the blade - but still has many years of life left in it. Complete with original sheath, also made by Russell. Good condition. £195 inc. UK p&p.
BUCK KNIVES. USA. "Vintage BUCK 119".
A stunning example of this well known knife. Still in production - confirming just how popular this model is - this particular knife actually dates from 1990, when a stag handle was an extra cost option. No longer offered as a handle option, this would be a great buy for the stalker who enjoys using this knife but would like a deluxe version (to the envy of his fellow shooters). Now becoming very collectable over in the US.
Mint, unused condition. NEW PRICE: £245 inc. UK p&p.
RUFFIN JOHNSON. USA. (deceased). "SEMI SKINNER".

SOLD ALAN WOOD. "CANUCK".
A brand new model from Alan ! His variation of the classic Grohmann/D.H.Russell Belt Knife, this combines the handle shape with a 'semi-skinner' blade (as opposed to the leaf shape of the original) that raises the point and give more belly for skinning. The steel is 12c27, with a brushed finish and the handle is nicely figured Spalted Beech with red liners. Fittings are bronze with a central mosaic pin. Blade: 3-1/2 inches. Oal: 8-1/2 inches. Complete with a brown leather pouch sheath.
New from Maker.

GERBER LEGENDARY BLADES. USA. "Model A475 -ARMORHIDE SERIES".
Released from my own collection, this particular knife was obviously part of the equipment taken on an African Safari by USA Gunmakers, Thompson Centre in 1976. Discontinued in the late 1980's, these Armourhide knives (which refers to the handle covering - a Gerber speciality) won rave reviews in use due to their use of 'High Speed Tool Steel' blades at Rc. 60-62, with an industrial hard-chrome plating. Made when Pete Gerber was still running the firm and designed by the legendary Al Mar when he was head designer for Gerber, before setting up making knives in his own name. Blade: 4-1/2" (2.25mm thick). Oal: 9-1/2". Complete with original brown leather sheath.
Mint, unused condition. £325 inc. UK p&p.
EDF KNIVES. The Netherlands. "DROP POINT"

SOLD PAT MITCHELL KNIVES. "Sportsman Collection - Model 574".
Described in their catalogue as - "A rugged compact knife for hunting and field use, it will prove itself invaluable for all sportsmen".
Since the demise of Pat Mitchell Knives due to the passing of both Stuart Snr. (who actually made the knives) and his wife, Pat (who ran the business and whom it was named after) these knives have become sought after by Collectors and also those looking for a very good quality Handmade Sheffield knife - as opposed to one made in the Far East !
These knives keep a superb edge due to the SF77 high carbon stainless steel used by Stuart Snr. This particular knife is handled in a very attractive wood laminate, which was one of the handle options offered, and a brass guard and pins. The original sheath is missing but the knife comes with a high quality sheath similar to the original style. This is, without doubt, the best quality Pat Mitchell knife I have seen since their passing and whoever buys this will not be disappointed !
Blade: 4-1/4". Oal: 9". As New condition.
